So rumors keep spreading because people will see things repeated without proof and repeat it themselves, again without even reading the book they're talking about. And this bad faith is what they're trying to pass off as valid criticisms, missing text, choppy flow.

@XiPingsToe 7seas has been a recognized light novel publisher long before they picked up any danmei, why are we treating them like an indie studio ? and i was wrong, seems like 7seas took around ~4 years to fix the ebook editions 😭

I see what happened here. The pfh translator read it as 万里/挑一. Instead of clocking the painfully common idiom, they put the 万 and 里 together as '10,000 li', which is 500 miles I guess?
