Dr. Ravali Gourishetti (Max Planck Institute) shared work on multimodal record-and-replay systems for skill learning, emphasising pedagogical challenges, motivational factors, and the growing role of haptics in effective tech-supported education.

Thiru Kathirvel Perumal (TCS) showcased XR use cases in healthcare and safety training—from multi-patient nursing simulations to pharma learning tools and disaster-awareness experiences for children—highlighting XR’s potential to redefine what is possible in wellness.

Sessions 9–12 Highlights — #XTICXRSymposium at @iitmadras Speakers from Dolby, TCS, MIT-ADT and Max Planck Institute explored how AI, XR, entrepreneurship and multimodal learning are shaping the next generation of immersive innovation across the Global South.

They stressed that XR adoption in education must be rooted in utility, experimentation and accessible design.

Moderated by Dr. Mohit Dubey (Pro Vice-Chancellor, MIT-ADT), the panel featured Rahul Rai (FLAME University), Anmol Srivastava (IIIT Delhi), and Joseph HR Isaac (Ericsson) discussing how XR can reshape learning across India.
