Arrived safely at the zoo!

This week we have been using story maps to plan our writing. The children loved rehearsing our class story map, before creating their own with a character that they created! 🛸👽✨🌃 @DepHiStPrimary @HighStPrimary

Today we explored capacity in Y1! We looked at full, halve full, nearly empty and and empty before moving on to our activity 💦💦

Outdoor learning this week involved looking for and identifying plants in the forest! We even found some that weren’t on our sheets but used our investigative skills to find out what they were called! @HighStPrimary @DepHiStPrimary

Y1 had a visit from PC Panda today!👮🏼🐼🚔🚨 We spoke about trusted adults and who to go to if we needed help. We also had to make sure PC Panda didn’t pinch any pizza from our lunch!🤭🍕 @DepHiStPrimary @HighStPrimary

Yesterday in PE we we looking at Irish dancing! This was perfect timing as we have been learning all about Northern Ireland and it was St Patrick’s day! ☘️👯👯 We had a go in lines first before showing off our moves to the rest of the children @DepHiStPrimary @HighStPrimary

Today we were painting daffodils! Did you know they’re the national flower of Wales? Paddington bear sent us a bunch from his trip to Wales!🐻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 He is on a trip all around the UK at the minute and sending us things from each country he visits 🇬🇧 @DepHiStPrimary @HighStPrimary

I gave lots of my stickers out yesterday for super behaviour, amazing work, improvements in handwriting and just for being a good all rounder! Well done guys! Keep up the hard work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
