Young at Heart is a registered charity set up in 1982 to offer help and support to families of babies and children diagnosed with heart defects. All these children and their families have spent many weeks/months in hospital undergoing major heart surgery.

A few weeks ago our Young Ambassador Alfie did a team talk at @WFCOfficial and mentioned a very special little gir Freya who was going through a time at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and needed 2 open heart surgeries within 1 week. Es'Mai is the big sister to heart Freya ⚽️

This week we held 3 separate first aid courses, for heart children and their siblings. The first course was for the 3-6 year olds, then 7-11 year old, then we finished off with 12-18years old. Great day had by all, and now 60 children have received first aid training 😀
