Unless MLS’ VAR has a lot better quality of video that is broadcast on feed, I’m not sure how anyone can claim that the contact was clear & obvious, as Wiebe suggests. And how the official can tell on that crappy sideline screen.

No audio on this, but when the broadcast booth is saying where is the foul, I'm not sure it is clear and obvious the official got the call wrong. But I keep seeing video of the review record with phones, so here is the actual broadcast recorded.

@andrew_wiebe @cityrefs I don’t think the Klauss play should’ve been called a penalty almost as much as I don’t think this should’ve been a penalty. But it’s the consistency. I don’t understand how they could allow for such a physical match—hell Joyner got legit thrown at one point—but then call this.

A game deciding pk for this is absolutely ridiculous… Klauss gets hip checked when he has a great opportunity to score and nothing. A small breeze hits a Vancouver player in the box and they get awarded a game winning pk 🤷🏽‍♂️ Two of the softest pks I’ve seen but if you’re going to call it like that at least be consistent. #allforcity

Missouri and Illinois are going to be the states most directly negatively impacted by this. Does UP need two lines running between KC and STL? Doubt it. Between KC & Chicago?
