Rage against the fatigue

You can't have growth and certainty. They are literally opposites. Now read that again.

I'm 89 days out from my first 100-mile ultramarathon. My wife and therapist asked me on the same day if I "run to find meaning." Here's my answer:

What if human intelligence isn't the smartest thing in the universe? Would that change how you live? How you doubt? The risks you take? And what if instead that little voice/nudge/pull inside of you is God saying, "You don't understand, but you don't have to."

Hopelessness stems from misalignment between your identity and your day-to-day. A means to an end is fine, as long as you're intentional about it staying that way. Note to self...

Things that bring me joy: faith family physical challenges business of business leadership adventure football spending time with ambitious men creating content around self-improvement Everything else I do because I'm too scared to chase the above with the passion they deserve

Tomorrow begins the hardest 3 months of my life. Completely voluntary. Chasing something.
