The biggest joy of League Classic is returning to a time when off-meta builds were EXTREMELY viable. You could literally come up with a brand new fun way to play champions by mixing and matching items/runes, and not only did it transform the character's playstyle but it WORKED. There was just SO many weird stats and strategies, and the game isn't min-maxed and forcing you to build THE most optimal items every game. Nowadays it feels like you're playing an off-meta build you're fighting a huge uphill battle, and everyone is pretty much locked into building the same 2 core items + keystones.
