We have had such an amazing year in Lilac Class, I am so proud of all of the children. This week children have completed their own portraits… can you guess who’s who?!!
We have had an amazing half term in Lilac Class, we have visited the Tropical Butterfly House, taken part in sports day, had a visit from Animal House and created some fantastic Tinga Tinga Art.
This week children in Lilac Class have done an amazing job in art, developing the skill of printing. We are very excited to see what the finished products will look like!
Lilac Class all looked amazing for World Book Day and loved sharing their favourite books. They had a very busy day with The Masked Reader and a guest reader too.
Yesterday Lilac Class went on a Woodland walk, they had an amazing time building homes for woodland animals. They thought very carefully about what natural resources they needed to make a warm and dry shelter. More amazing photos to follow…
Over the past couple of weeks, children in Lilac Class have been learning all about what life was like in the home, during Victorian times. They have loved exploring all the old artefacts, well as enjoying a visit from ‘The History Van’.
This week in Reception, children have been learning all about road safety. Children really enjoyed getting involved in the ‘Road Safety Workshop’ provided by Road Safety Officers from Sheffield City Council.
This week our Mystery Reader in Lilac Class was Miss Lightfoot. We loved listening to the story ‘Superkitty versus Mousezilla’. I wonder who our Mystery Reader will be next week!
Yesterday as part of Black History Month children in Lilac Class had a visit from Judith at Beat Feet Drumming. They learnt all about African Djembe Drums and had the opportunity to explore and play these. They had an amazing time.
Children in Lilac Class have had an amazing start to the year. They have really blown us away with their positive attitudes towards their learning. It's going to be a brilliant year.
