@olaseni1227835 In theory, you're 100% correct about the handshake. 🤝 But in practice, high-wattage chargers often cause iPhones to run much hotter than 20W/30W bricks do.
It’s not about if it can charge, it’s about how many times it can do it before the IC gives up.

Using a 65W+ laptop charger on your iPhone 16 or 17 is basically gambling with your motherboard.
You might save 30 mins of charging time today, only to spend 300k+ fixing a fried charging IC tomorrow.
