I have been laughing at the maths Barça fans have been pushing today😭😭😭. Absolutely hilarious. I already knew many of them are clueless, but this is genuinely embarrassing. Too many errors here: - Barça reportedly own 20% of Abde’s rights now, not 25%. - Even if we accept the 25% claim, 25% of €60m is €15m, not €20m. So Gordon does not magically become a €50m signing from €70m. Even adding fifa solidarity fee does not make this maths work. - Most importantly, Abde’s sale does NOT reduce Gordon’s transfer fee. These are completely separate transactions. If I overpay and buy a car worth €58k for €70k, then later sell my old bike for €12k, that does not mean I bought the car for €58k. I still overpaid €70k for the car. The bike sale is a completely separate transaction. Calling this “Deco playing chess” is stupidity. And the funniest part is that these are not random trolls with 10 followers, but big Barça pages with 50k+ followers spreading this nonsense. 🤦‍♂️
