Today I discovered a 1903 brochure promoting @theUL’s Chinese collection. It bears the names Professor Wade and Giles, the first two Chinese professors and honorary curators, whose selfless efforts built and preserved our collection, reminding me why safeguarding books matters.

Ran into four horses at Audley End Gardens. Feeling lucky and happy 😊🐎Two are from Hong Kong’s 1978 #YearOfTheHorse stamps (one “horse” in Regular Script, one in Small Seal Script). The real horse was very friendly to me, and the last one is an English Heritage “horse” pin.
