Chirality in organic 2D crystals is a grand challenge: extended pi-conjugation favors symmetry, which contradicts the molecular asymmetry of chirality. Our latest paper demonstrates a novel approach to resolve this apparent paradox. Congratulations to Shiyi & all collaborators.
