@maxtoscano1 That's literally their entire job, go into places that don't want them there and get rejected. Typically good looking people too (men and women) so they can relate to being on the opposite side of the dating scene

Hey everyone. You know me as a football guy, but I am increasingly fascinated by the social dynamics of my generation. It’s so obvious they’re broken, and they’re broken for 2 reasons: The fear of confrontation and the fear of rejection. I’m getting socially rejected 100 times to examine the dynamics of those realities of a healthy life. One rule: being ghosted does not count, we have to get to the real thing.

@YardsPerPass Gerry can coach. If Syracuse gives him the money to get the players, he will win at Syracuse.

@YardsPerPass The two positive comparisons I’ve found are Steve Smith and Anquan Bolding Smith - 982 yards in 2009, 554 in 2010, then 1394 in 2011. Same team, but new HC and QB (Cam) Boldin - three straight years below 1,000 in BAL (ages 30-32), then went to SF where he put up 1,180 and 1,062

I'm so sorry everyone... feel free to skip 1) literally the odds (see pic) 2) his season trends - 2024 (age 27): 98 catches, 966 yards, 6 TDs - 2025 (age 28): 50 catches, 682 yards, 6 TDs He's failed to crack 1,000 in back to back years with declining production each season. The question is whether any WR with that profile bounced back to 1,000+ at 29 on a new team. I could find 0 players... that have done so (obviously there is a 1st time for everything) The article from Turf Show Times piece on WR aging curves is pretty damning turfshowtimes.com/2021/12/24/228… They found that the number of WRs hitting 1,000 yards at 29+ has cratered in the modern NFL. Pretty good WRs like Golden Tate, Dez Bryant, AJ Green, and Doug Baldwin all fell off a cliff right around this age. The ones who kept producing past 29 (Evans, Adams, Hopkins) were all significantly better players than Moore at their peak and had All-Pro caliber resumes to fall back on.

@YardsPerPass @GlassMike11872 How are the odds against that happening? If he’s going to be as durable as he has been, there’s no way he’s not. The competition for receptions pales in comparison to what he was up against the last few years in Chicago

I'm posting this just so I have it on record... I think Moore has about a 20-25% chance to get over 1000 yards Unlikely, but definitely could happen

@Mlease14 no the team doesn't need him to be, I agree... I've said all along that good WR2 numbers might be all they need

@YardsPerPass Don’t need him to be 100 catch 1,000 plus yd guy. Why are we obsessing with those numbers. If he comes in and goes 70-800-6 and Shakir continues at his 70-800-4 trend. That’s 140-1600-10 from your top 2 WR on 200 targets. Significantly better than any production they had in 24/25

@YardsPerPass I hear ya...stats are great for baseball huge sample size with few dependencies....in football its so opposite and detailed stats have far lesser meaning/predictability... check james lofton late career stats

@YardsPerPass Bad teams are going to be bad for sooooo long. Unclear why NFL as a whole would take a page from NBA on this. At least NBA it can't be consecutive and there's more reasons for player trades. But the protections have gotten out of control too.
