A bold anthem of hope and destiny, telling the story of a “local boy” with unstoppable dreams. Blending faith, resilience, and confidence, this song declares that greatness can rise from humble beginnings and shine beyond what the world expects. ditto.fm/local-boy-yard…

the main issue with music in Nigeria generally is that, the information surrounding the music doesn’t tally with its reality. See it as this, if you watch music video Channels in Nigeria, you may start to think the youth are just happy “ blingy “ young men and women with “ perfectly fit “ bodies and fly clothes who just want to have fun. Acts then fall into their first experience of depression when it’s time to be outdoors but they can’t keep or meet up with the “ packaged “ versions of themselves they had initially “ presented“. An older artiste ( in his early 50’s ) confirmed to me that at a point, he blew as who he was not which affected him psychologically. “ Oro po “ but make we pause am small…

If you are a child of Nigerian Parents who ran successful businesses, you will understand why they are working someplace else It’s better experienced than explained - if you are child of such parents and didn’t experience it, you are super lucky Start with why the current political class are filled up with old people holding on for dear life even through they begun mostly in their 20s/30s Start with the extension of retirement ages, forging of certificate to stay longer etc Most Nigerian Parents don’t know when to let go, mostly death puts asunder. By the time they are no more, the passion for that business is gone and the kids want nothing to do with it

If your teenage son impregnates a teenage girl, you should hold that your son to account. He must go through the same reality that the girl is forced into and you are not to protect him. You are not to shield him. If that girl has to pause her education, that boy must pause his as well. If she has to attend antenatal appointments, he must go with her. If she has to get a job to support her child, he must do the same. Adult actions have adult consequences, and your son must carry them too. We need to stop excusing and covering up male wrongdoing. It is rotting the society from the inside out. The level of permissiveness is bad. While we are raising girls to be cautious and responsible, we are raising boys to be defended no matter how harmful their behaviour is. Stop protecting the men who harm others. Stop shielding your abusive husbands. Stop protecting your rapist brothers. Stop hiding your sons’ predatory actions. Stop making excuses for misogyny.

Selling 101 class. Conversely, I’ve been doing sales for years, but the man who taught us “selling” as a module in business school opened my eyes to a lot that I had to now humbly sat down with my Indian boss to learn & what you said here, sir, is it. I hope the lady learns…

After seeing a great Coca-Cola advert, you go next door to the local restaurant or pub to get a Coke. Distribution matches advertising. Coca-Cola advertises globally for its local dealerships. Great fried meat has local substitutes. Thanks for helping local bukas boost sales🙏🏿

A love letter to every woman who’s ever had the privilege of being called a “pick me.” 🍷 I actually love what feminism was meant to be, giving women the same freedom and opportunity as men. But somewhere along the line, too many couldn’t back it up. They wanted the rewards of equality without the responsibility that comes with it. When the real work got hard, the movement shifted from building skills and independence to selling sexuality as empowerment. Some of us worked our way up and out of poverty, built careers, learned discipline, and proved that women can match men in drive and capability. Yet instead of being called feminists, we get labelled “pick mes” because we represent the version of womanhood that requires effort, not shortcuts. So here’s to the so-called “pick mes”...... the real feminists. The women who believe in equality, not entitlement. Who earn their freedom through merit, integrity, and hard work. The ones rewriting what womanhood should look like in the modern world.
