re: Toxic, I had the idea when Geethu Mohandas signed on—many thought similarly—that it's a satire of modern Indian action films and their alpha male leads. the footage so far though looks no different than regular fare. even in its hyperbole it feels ordinary, more of the same

The thing about toxic is that I'm not bothered by the nudity and explicit content, but the truth is that the makers are trying to make this male-gaze satisfying content the USP of the movie. Makes you wonder how shitty the storytelling is that they can't bother to include it
