📌 من الخاص 📩 : السلام عليكم ورحمة الله .. والدتي تعاني من ألم شديد في مفصل ( الركبة ) ولاتريد عمل عملية ( تغيير المفصل ) لأنه سيمنعها من الجلوس للتشهد وثني الركبة نهائي 😔 الله يجزاه الجنة من يدلّني على حل او طريقة لمرض والدتي بطريقة او طبيب معين بالرياض ؟

@DrSpratticus @alison_tree @HimanshuNagarMD @whallradonc Can we justify the cost of a spacer (which exceeds the cost of SABR in some countries) when most SABR trials showed no significant change in bowel QOL? We all want the best for our patients, but we have to be financially responsible sometimes..

@alison_tree @HimanshuNagarMD @whallradonc It was 12% in Rtog 0126 😉 in Kishan’s sbrt paper in Jama open he has a great figure showing rates across trials. You can usually achieve close to 0% dose to the V70 with conventional RT dosing with a spacer. I don’t see how mr linac can overcome inverse square law...

Great paper @DrSpratticus, and intriguing suggestion that G3+ GU toxicity is proportional to SBRT dose but GI toxicity isn't (in contrast to the conventional fractionation literature). Thoughts anyone? redjournal.org/article/S0360-…
