I participated in the meeting of Doha process for peace in eastern DRC held in Montreux - Switzerland from 13-17 April . The meeting witnessed the signing of an MoU for ceasefire mechanism.

Within the framework of addressing refugee issues I participated in the Regional Conference on Comprehensive Solutions for Burundian Refugees held in Nairobi from 16-18 March 2026.

On the International Women’s day we commit to work for a Great Lakes Region where every woman and girl leads, thrives, and is protected.

From 4–5 March 2026 ICGLR organized the 3rd Meeting of the ICGLR Specialised Committee of Defence Experts in Lusaka Zambia to review the regional security situation in the region and advance the operationalisation of the EJVM+ intended to monitor ceasefire in eastern DRC.

Together with partners from EU and ReDSS ICGLR is driving momentum toward a Regional Strategy on Durable Solutions for Refugees in the Great Lakes region, that is intended to address issues of refugees and IDPs in the region.

From 18–19 Feb 2026 Bujumbura witnessed the 21st ICGLR National Coordinators Meeting which was convened to advance transparency, governance reforms and implementation of the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan of ICGLR.

In the context of supporting peace process in eastern DRC, ICGLR participated in the meeting of the Ceasefire Oversight and Verification Mechanism (COVM) held in Doha, State of Qatar from 1-2 February 2026

With support from the Netherland and other partners ICGLR is implementing a project on mainstreaming Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in advancing peace-building in the Great Lakes region. In that context a meeting was organized in Kampala from 28-29 January 2026.

In the context of supporting peace process in eastern DRC, ICGLR organized in Livingston, Zambia on 10th of January 2026 a meeting of Ministers of Defense which was preceded by a meeting of Chiefs of Staff and a meeting of Defense experts.

In the context of consolidation of peace and stability in the Great Lakes region ICGLR organized in Kinshasa from 12-13 December 2025 a capacity building workshop on mediation and supporting ongoing peace processes.

In the Context of enhancement of good governance of natural resources in the Great Lakes region, ICGLR organized in Entebbe from 4-5 December 2025 the meeting of the Regional Committee on Natural Resources.

On 15th of November 2025, I participated in the 9th Summit of the ICGLR Member States held in Kinshasa, which decided on ways means for addressing challenges of peace and Security in the Great Lakes region.

The Regional Inter-ministerial Committee of ICGLR Member States (RIMC) held in Kinshasa on 13th of November 2025 discussed major challenges facing the Great Lakes region.

In the context of preparation for the Meeting of ICGLR Ministers of Gender in Kinshasa, I met on 31st October 2025 with H.E Micheline Ombae Kalama, Minister of Gender, Family and Children of DRC.

The ICGLR Audit Committee held its 27th October 2025 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening responsible sourcing and promoting transparency in the regional mineral trade.

In the context of ICGLR cooperation with African institutions to promote peace and security in Africa, I participated in the 20th Conference of the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa CISSA held in Benghazi Libya from 24-27 August 2025.

On 7th June 2025, I participated in press conference on ICGLR participation in observing elections in Burndi

On 3rd June 2025, I participated in launching ICGLR election observation mission in Burndi.

The #ADF2025 provided a remarkable opportunity to meet with Ministers of Foreign Affairs from ICGLR Member States, strengthening regional cooperation and dialogue.

In the context of cooperation in enhancing effective diplomacy to address challenges of peace and security I participated in the 4th Edition of Antalya Diplomacy Forum from 11-13 April 2025.
