Dating for money is when you have an uptown apartment paid for, car & lifestyle funded, trips etc. A man covering hair, nails, dates, transport, occasional shopping, or helping with bills is still operating within a normal relationship dynamic & gender roles expectations.

Most women in Namibia like to talk about “dating for money” as if they are really doing it. Dating someone with a grade 8 salary is not dating for money, that person will only give salon money & a few stuff, that’s maintenance. Dating for money is when the man does everything.

For a 3rd world country like Namibia, where the average person earning around N$20k isn’t even doing that badly, the level of classism some people project is honestly unnecessary. Not everyone is going to earn the same, live the same or move at the same pace financially.

I don't even have a car, but I'm in the top 10% bracket... A car is not a need bafethu, especially in the modern day of e-hailing.. Just save your money because things aren't going well economically... Lease a car if you really need to do something that requires a car..
