@BoneKrishna The human mind is a probability generator/prediction machine. Humans also think of incoherent babble, and we do nothing while sleeping. Pathetic of us all, really. cell.com/neuron/fulltex…

All we have are probability software backed up by a sea of processors to try and spit out the most probably coherent output it can generate while hiding the other millions of completely incoherent babble.

AI is pseudo science. Just like the new age advocates didn't understand shit about quantum mechanics but declared themselves experts and tried to shoehorn it in everything, techbros believe to have unraveled the mysteries of the mind and recreated it. Bullshit.

@axelloopcombo @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi "ai uses multiple various sources..." Yes but it uses this information and transforms it. It doesn't need consensus. "It takes 0.5 liters of water for a 100-word prompt" No it does not. It takes 0.5 liters of water for 20-50 prompts. Grass is unimportant for the ecosystem.

@axelloopcombo @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi You say there are more people that use ai multiple times a day, but overall, accounting for the total impact of ai and golf courses, ai is more water intensive. When topic is specific enough that an AI is helpful it is rarely wrong. What did I miss?

@axelloopcombo @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi That's not true, AI does not usually get it wrong. I don't know where you hear that. There are cases where it does, but it's far from the usual. And no, per person generating an ai image or asking an LLM a question is roughly on par with watching a youtube video.

@Yazorock @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi a single golf course uses much more water than a single person using ai, but i’d say there are many more people who use ai multiple times a day than there are golf courses. and yes the difference is minimal and if the topic is so specific you

@axelloopcombo @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi I mentioned golf courses due to how much more water they use than data centers, and how much less necessary they are, considering data centers are for much more than only ai. Also I don't think the difference between learning from ai and learning from google searches is minimal.

@Yazorock @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi the difference in accessibility is essentially minimal between generating an image or text or simply looking it up on google. also we are in a water crisis so i’d say watering golf courses is definitely not the reason i mention all the water ai uses

@pachiwuyang @axelloopcombo @Ayanarinashi It's the only logic I can think of and she didn't explain herself otherwise. It could also be group think, it could be to appeal to her peers as well. It did start with you calling me stupid, telling me to never speak though. Which you backed out from.

@Yazorock @axelloopcombo @Ayanarinashi You can say you dont like it but you literally are doing that, in your replies to her you start assuming reasons about why she sees ai the way she does. You are quite literally trying to play her as either a rich greedy person or an ablesist.

@pachiwuyang @axelloopcombo @Ayanarinashi I don't like how you are saying I am trying to "play" anyone in any way, but yes, I do genuinely believe I am correct. At the end of the day I just hope you don't think I am being insincere

@Yazorock @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi also, generative ai is not a disability aid because generating content like texts or images using water and poisoning data center-ridden neighbourhoods when you have a) books and b) the whole web at your fingertips is not necessary

@axelloopcombo @pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi What is the distinction for you deciding that generative ai can not a disability aid? Do you mean only image generation, or LLMs as well? I find the vitriol towards people using the latter as an aid more confusing.

@pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi I'm not confused at all, and you are misunderstanding points like objectification. I'm speaking on LLMs and ai image generation. The goalposts I'm speaking of is you implying that for an accessible option to exist only the disabled may use it.

@Yazorock @Ayanarinashi Im not moving the goalposts, you know Im right and you HAVE to be confused because we’re talking about the AI that generates art based off REAL artists’ works that takes no effort or passion to create. No one is talking about healthcare AI or actual beneficial AI

@Regolant @Void48905718833 @Ayanarinashi I don't understand your point, should motorized wheelchairs be deemed acceptable for shame? And even for the non motorized ones it completely replaces walking with a separate activity. Both replace standing entirely.

@Yazorock @Void48905718833 @Ayanarinashi ...? I guess the super expensive motorized ones could. Not that many people have enough money to have those ones and actually give them the maintenance they need though...

@c0llinsworld @thecrowgaymer @Ayanarinashi He blocked me after telling me to prove it, but it's easy, there are ai models that can view what is in front of you and tell you what it is, helpful for the blind. This same technology can also be used for blind people to 'see' images online.

@c0llinsworld @thecrowgaymer @Ayanarinashi For physical disabilities it's easy to prove AI's use case, so you must be talking about mental disabilities, in which case it's difficult to prove, as you would not accept a disabled person's account that an AI helped them as an objective fact.

@pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi Why are you moving the goalposts? I am stating it does help with these mental barriers, and you use that to imply all users should/do have these illnesses in order to validate their use? AI is also not limited to art.

@pachiwuyang @Ayanarinashi Objectifying him is using his life, simplifying it down to a single point, then using that story for your own convenience. What do you think that term means?

@Yazorock @Ayanarinashi How is that objectifying him? He was literally still a human being who did thats, he was not an object he was a person and he isn’t being objectified do you even understand that concept? And you have to genuinely be stupid to actually ask me that.
