Now ask yourself, since Ghana’s independence, which Ghanaian youth startups has the government truly helped? Never. Rather, they come to take the money instead. I don’t think people grasp the magnitude of the drafted NITA bill.
As written, Meta, Apple, TikTok, Shopify, Google, all can’t be licensed in Ghana.
Section 37 says only citizens or wholly citizen-owned companies qualify. Not majority-owned. Wholly owned. 100% Ghanaian shareholding. (They really need to clarify this part)
So foreign giants either hand their Ghana operations entirely to a Ghanaian owner, sell through a local reseller, or stay in a grey zone. None of those are real options for global platforms.
Worse, this likely violates Ghana’s international commitments that protect foreign investors.
Even telcos like MTN get pulled into a second regulatory layer on top of NCA. It’s that serious.
And they can keep adding categories to the LI whenever they deem fit.
They are standard, enforcer, licenser. They have crazy power that you can’t contend with.
They are coming for the digital space and it’s closer to you than you think.

Ghana is 69 Years with several millionaires and billionares but it is Dangote from Nigeria that is coming to establish a functional sugar factory for us at Kwame‑Danso in the Bono Region. China is undergoing nationwide transformation of old urban districts, residential blocks, industrial zones and historic districs at about $364.6 billion. Now these "old" districts are better than Accra in every way you can think of. ❌Ghana ended up building Saglemi for almost $200 million and abandoned it. ❌We blew extra $195 million on Borteyman, Legon Stadium and Games Village plus $47 million to host the games. Go and check the staus of these complexes today. All these shams, meanwhile, parts of Korle-Bu are still rotting away. Flooding everywhere. No streetlights. No consistent electricity. Guess what? You will vote again in 2028. Development and progress did not find you, but ballot boxes will.
