I see him in the dad who comes to pick up one of my students. She will just go stand with her forehead to his chest and stay like that for a few seconds. I see my dad in that dad too. And every time I see my dad in others, I smile now. He lives on I guess… like this…

That memory made me smile. My dad’s been gone for more than five years now. I miss him. But now it’s more bittersweet. It doesn’t make me cry as much. I smile at those fun memories I still cherish. I still see him in most elderly dads who dissect a dish name.

Had the most adorable interaction today. Friend and I were sharing a table at a restaurant with an elderly couple. They were curious about the dishes coming out and slowly asked us what each dish was pointing to other tables.
