Year 2 TSP

In RE today we learned all about the Dead Sea Scrolls. We discussed how we would feel if we made such a fascinating discovery! #TSPRE #Imagine

This week we discussed our favourite Bible stories. We made covers of our favourite stories to go inside our big Bible front cover to represent that the Bible is made up of many special stories! #TSPRE #Imagine ❤️

We put our learning into practice today, by using place value charts and part whole models to demonstrate our understanding of tens and ones. #TSPMaths

In Music today we enjoyed learning all about folk music, we played Chinese whispers to represent how music was shared all of those years ago. We loved learning a folk song and trying to keep a steady pulse to the fast paced music! 💙🎶

We learnt how to flexibly partition numbers to 100 in Maths today! Using base 10 to help us 💙💜💚

In PSHE we discussed responsibility and what it means to be responsible both at home and in school. We worked as a team to rank different situations in order of importance #TSPPSHE #Nurture 💙

In Maths we practiced partitioning numbers into tens and ones using part whole models. #TSPMaths #WhiteRoseMaths 💯

In PE today we explored sending and receiving by rolling our ball back and forth in pairs. We discussed how to perfect our position by stepping forward and using power. #TSPPE 🎾

In Art we explored maps as a stimulus. We discussed a variety of maps and how they can be both useful and imaginary. We then created our own wonderful maps using crayons, coloured felt tips, coloured pencils and oil pastels. #TSPArt

We focused on Place Value in Maths, using base 10 to represent tens and ones. #TSPMaths

We made some yummy jam sandwiches today to practice fantastic team work. We then wrote our own set of instructions, focusing on capital letters and full stops. #Enjoy

In PE we practiced fundamentals such as running. We discussed how we can make ourselves go faster using our arms! #TSPPE

Today we finished off our final topic in Maths, position and direction. Working together we followed a series of instructions and turns to find a golden ticket and to earn a sneaky sweet! #TSPMaths #Direction

As part of Computing Day this morning we used @poppletapp to create a mind map about how we communicate online. We were shocked at how many different ways there were! 💻💛#TSPComputing #Imagine

We were so exited to star our final #TSPDT project today; Moving Monsters! We started by designing and decorating our monsters head adding in lots of special detail! 💛#Imagine
