We had a great morning with Victoria Ohuruogu. The children were brilliant during their circuit session and loved listening to Victoria speak about how her hard work and determination helped her to become a successful track athlete.
We had a great time baking our Greek cookies with Mrs Ryan yesterday! The children worked so well together, and it was so lovely to see their final products.
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas break, 5 Fine. Well done for having such a great first term. Thank you very much for our lovely cards and generous gifts. Enjoy the festivities and we will see you next year!
Just a quick reminder that we will be visiting the book fair tomorrow. If you wish to bring in some money to buy a book, please keep it in a named envelope. Alternatively, you can make a wish list as the book fair will also be open on Saturday at the school Christmas fair.
Some of the fantastic Art work the children have been working on over the last 3 weeks. Using their typography and powerful drawing skills, they created a visual map.
In English today, we began thinking about balanced arguments. The children came up with evidence-based reasons for and against wearing school uniforms! We used a conscience alley so they could make their views heard.
We had great fun moving around the cone shapes and dribbling the ball. We were then challenged by having a defender in each shape to stop us from passing through.
5 Fine have had a great morning! We've spoken about Year 5 expectations, and the children are certainly trying their hardest to meet them.
We have also been reading (and watching) The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, and thinking about the key messages and themes.
