if I were to guess (completely useless information, because reacting is better than predicting), we are topping out in 2025 Q1, and then seeing a sizeable correction/pullback afterwards to flush out some chasers in size -- even as someone who is bullish, the sustainability in terms of volatility indicators is beginning to flash me signals still long, still many awesome setups, still tons of juice to be seen -- but slowly, and surely, I'll be taking chips off the table, and I don't care where it goes next after that 2025 Q1 (maybe July by the latest) -- already made my piece how am I wrong? two ways -- we are flat, and range before preparing next leg up in the coming quarters, OR, we self-correct right now to reset some of the momentum either way, I have been a proponent of opinion that this cycle, especially in $BTC, will be shorter, given how extremely fast we advanced this much still tons of people sidelined, still long, but will be mindful not to get rugged into oblivion as some folks got in the past -- we learn from those mistakes bonus: not saying we will crash in 1-2Qs, just speaking in terms of a reasonable pullback

Coin pushes USDC, and in exchange gets half the economics w/ some adjustments > but w/ Circle now a pubco, it’s been forced into pitching a much broader growth story to investors -> today that’s become: be the infrastructure layer for global payments + real-world finance onchain > to make that a reality, Circle needs to supercharge itself by owning customers and having their flows live on their new venue, Arc > and the problem is that directly conflicts w/ Coinbase’s own ambition w/ Base to be the exchange + rails for everything, especially payments, settlement & FX > and if you look closely, things have started getting messy: cbBTC vs cirBTC = Circle stepping on Coin’s toes w/ the same product > but Circle / Arc post token raise is a much worse deal. With outside investors underwriting the chain, the incentive becomes drive all your assets + activity from everywhere else (including Base / Coinbase) to Arc: USDC balances, tokenized assets, payments, settlement & eventually FX > the two businesses, which were once symbiotic, are now competing H2H and have public shareholders / token holders to keep track of the scoreboard > inevitable that the relationship ultimately ends in divorce. Circle clearly growing up and planning on moving out of its childhood home
