My brother-in-law died last week from cancer of the oesophagus. It’s such a low survival rate because by the time it’s found it’s too late. It’s been a truly frightening and devastating 18 months. Hug everyone you love.

Spent a few hours this morning doing the morning part of Diesels daily timetable on Thomas & Friends. That little train isn’t being paid enough. Up with the spuggies and he’s already done shunting jobs at both the quarry and then at the harbour and it’s not even 8am

If you’ve ever tried the Train Sim World Series and thought ‘this would be cool if the trains weren’t so complicated to drive then Thomas & Friends: Wonders of Sodor is perfect

@MrC_Copperpot Yeah I’m really enjoying it. Struggling to do the shunting showdown story but it’s not something I’m going to keep trying. The daily timetable mode is where the gameplay is for me.

@OC_MurphysLaw @ronsterd89 I’m in the UK so tips aren’t required or expected. If I did tip on £72 however, it would be rounded up to £75 and that’s it. Not my job to pay an employees wages on top of the food I’ve already paid for.

Had a blast this afternoon playing Thomas the Tank Engine. Love the simplified control scheme. If @dovetailgames ever brought the same control option into TSW for us casuals I’d probably jump back into that series.

@vvickerMan73 @dovetailgames The only other game I have that’s simple like that is Train Life. That one’s great. R2/L2 for forward/backwards and if you need to switch points the game hud tells you and you just press triangle. It offers the option of freight and passengers and the map covers Europe.

@vvickerMan73 @dovetailgames Exactly what I said. The control system is perfect for casuals. I don’t need to remember the 20 steps required for each engine just to get it started and moving forward. Obviously enthusiasts do but surely they can provide the option for both.

@vvickerMan73 @dovetailgames I think the issue nowadays is games being multi format. They probably test stuff but if something works on the dev test kit they expect it to work on all formats and that’s not always the case.

@vvickerMan73 @dovetailgames I’ve watched a few vids and n YT from guys who got preview copies they’ve mentioned bugs and said they’ve sent feedback to the devs. You’d think simple stuff like game freezes when accessing maps etc would be spotted though.

@vvickerMan73 @dovetailgames I’ve not tried using the map while in a story either. I’ve got the junction switches set at manual so I don’t need to use the map to change them.
