@Yesitsadhd I once gave my old phone number (that I hadn't had for 9 years) at an interview and had to sheepishly email them later with the correct one. I can remember it better if I type it on a number pad so often imagine doing this!

@GenesisMachines Good idea! I have my current number almost 10 years. I know my phone number. If I'm completing a form online I’ll enter it on autopilot. Yet, when asked, it just doesn't exist in my brain 🤔

@Yesitsadhd I've invested about 20 hours of my life to obtaining easy to remember phone numbers for myself and others, it has been time well spent.

@wynneliz1 How long has it been since you had Covid? I’ve recently taken two weeks off my meds. Just went back on them yesterday and the difference! I can function again. Hence the very late reply to your late reply ☺️

@Yesitsadhd Chiming in late here, but I actually haven't been able to take my ADHD meds at all since I got long covid - they activate my body way too much. And man, do I miss them 😂

My #ADHD meds don't work at all when I'm sick or very tired. I've had Covid all week and could hardly string a sentance together. Does this happen to anyone else? #askadhd #adhdtwitter #adhd

@petequily Thanks for the info (and sorry for the very late reply). I had no idea the two were related until very recently. Although I wasn’t diagnosed until this year at 39, my ADHD symptoms really escalated in my mid-20’s when pain became a chronic daily thing.

@TheADHDKirsty Or if I stick to a specific routine, like getting ready for work, I can do everything in a specific order on autopilot. But if I’m interrupted or my routine changes for any reason, I’m likely to forget to do things

I was thinking about this yesterday. Habits are so hard to form Brushing my teeth/general hygiene is pretty automatic because there are sensory reminders, but other self-care habits are a struggle. Like taking vitamins, eating well, skincare, exercising etc. #ADHD #adhdtwitter

@amboinreallife Interesting! My adhd symptoms go through the roof a day or two before my period. And anxiety. That’s how I usually know my period is imminent

@petequily Thank you, very helpful. I’m so up and down with this. One day I’m feeling better and the next I’m exhausted and have a crippling migraine. I have underlying conditions (EDS, PoTS and peripheral neuropathy) and even the vaccination wiped me out for weeks.

@blueskye12367 If I get this response I'm likely oversharing and need to keep my thoughts to myself. When we’re really interested in a subject we tend to make connections and see patterns that others don't. I stick with discussing neuro-diverse stuff on here and not in my day-to-day life

@daleconnolly Yep! This is just for the baby. Plus her buggy and car seat. My husband thinks it’s way too much stuff but we can’t depend on getting it over there

@Yesitsadhd This was our kit for our first long-weekend away with the newborn back in 2012. There’s no getting away from it. It’s stressful. All of it. You need a break to get over the break. Honestly still not recovered from those early days…

Any travel tips for #ADHD? I haven’t been abroad in three years. First time travelling with a baby. The sheer amount of things to organise, pack, book etc is overwhelming. Most of it is done but I have the constant anxiety that I’m forgetting about something. #askadhd
