stories like that of the Jose sisters in Mozambique are common realities for #girlswithdisabilities in emergencies. Congrats to @UNICEF_Moz and partners for ensuring inclusive emergency response and recovery through the provision of #AssistiveDevices and rehab services.
UNICEF Africa@UNICEFAfrica

Meet the José sisters. They lost their home twice - first due to conflict and then a cyclone. This #DayOfTheGirl, we are sharing the risks the disproportionate impact of emergencies on girls with disabilities. #ForEveryChild, safety and support.

Did you know children who are deaf are part of the 70M+ people who are deaf globally—80% of whom live in developing countries? Their right to sign language is essential for accessing all services. #NoHumanRightsWithoutSignLanguageRights #InclusionMatters #ISLD
UNICEF Africa@UNICEFAfrica

It’s time to embrace every voice, in every form. As we mark International day of Sign Languages, we are committed to ensuring every child is included—no matter their abilities. Let’s work together so children feel valued and protected.

Congratulations to @unicefrw for uninterrupted commitment to Assistive Technology and inclusion of #children with disabilities. Also proud to share another great example from @UNICEF_Burundi on the provision of #AT to children with disabilities x.com/UNICEF_Burundi…
UNICEF Africa@UNICEFAfrica

No child should be prevented from going to school because they can’t get the assistive technology they need. In Rwanda, UNICEF and partners provide technology to help improve ear and hearing care for children and adolescents with impairments. #WorldATDay
