Around the world, about 95 million school-aged children are deaf or have hearing loss. 60% of these cases are preventable, but left undetected and untreated. On #WorldHearingDay, I call on countries to prevent avoidable hearing loss through early detection and referral — including in classroom.

Despite only 15.1% of participants meeting the 24-hour movement guidelines at baseline and 13.7% at Wave 1, those who adhered to any 1 or 2 recommendations, as well as those meeting all guidelines, experienced a reduced mortality risk.
