@Yic17Studio @IGN I think they did it with the intent that it’s going to come into play in part 3. Aerith’s gone from our party, but Cloud is still seeing her, whether that be alt world Aerith or pure hallucination. If she weren’t going to be in P3 at all I’d be bothered to. But it has me hyped.

Agreed. They really messed up the scene. It wasn't as nearly impactful as the original. I would rather have an exact replica of the original than this guessing game. I REALLY hope this is done on purpose and will have a payoff in the 3rd game. @IGN Link: ign.com/articles/final…

@VxSapphire @IGN I don't know. I don't like this half-assed approach. If they wanted to save her, then save her for real. This is kind of a cheap way to still have Aerith around. But we'll see. I hope the 3rd game will have a satisfying conclusion.

@rnk_khv Yeah the director is the one who did FF14 and you can tell he brought those MMO elements to the middle part of the game and it really hurts the experience. I wish he had just focused on the main story without adding in those pointless side quests.

@Yic17Studio I agree, the game has pacing problems, and it doesn't have a good spread of interesting and boring moments. And the game jumps from over-the-top action and interesting storytelling, to boring running around in the style of an MMO

I love everything in the first 10 hours of #FinalFantasy16. The story was intriguing, personal, and purposeful. But the 2nd 10 hours ..... it became a complete bore fest. It feels like they want to extend the play time for the sake of play time and not for the story. Shame.

The main story should have only been 20-25 hours instead of stretching it to 30-35 hours for the sake of play time. It would have been much more impactful and could have been considered a masterpiece. But now, it can only be "great" at most.
