Muslims are fleeing Uttam Nagar in Delhi after a series of hate speeches and threats from Hindutva groups. I spoke to a local resident, Jameel Ahmad, who told me that many Muslim families are leaving the area after individuals like Lalit Sharma allegedly made threats, with speeches circulating online declaring that Muslims would be killed or driven out. According to locals, some speeches have even threatened that Muslims will not be allowed to celebrate Eid and that Holi will be forcibly played on them on the day of Eid.
