Honored to have my work with Lucas featured in Forbes. I'm so proud of him and everything he's accomplished. Much thanks to @SalseraSeattle for writing a wonderful article on overcoming the yips.

Our goal is to completely overhaul mental performance training in professional athletics with methods based in real world application over theory rooted in "formal education" or CMPC certifications.
@Lucas_Glover_ and @TylerMatzek reached out when all other traditional methods had been ineffective. Using experience based lessons and application drills provided solutions that helped them not only perform well enough to regain their careers, but thrive and win championships in high pressure at the highest levels of competition.
As far as the #yips, I want to continue to break down the stigma of mental weakness, fear and shame that is associated with it, dispel it's taboo nature and completely change the way it is managed and treated by organizations.
We want to save careers and the team's investment by implementing a rehabilitation program that works across the board just like we would with any other injury.

WSJ Article - "Saying athletes have the yips is a polite way of saying they're choking."
The statement is false and an over simplification of a problem that can affect even the most mentally tough people.
An association between the words yips and choking is made without providing defining characteristics of either term which could cause people to falsely question if they are mentally weak.
If you're struggling with the yips, you're not choking in the sense that you can't consciously handle the pressure of the situation. I'm living proof and so is Tyler Matzek and Lucas Glover.
If you're struggling with "performance anxiety" (whatever the heck that means and depending on how we define it) - you most likely need to learn High Pressure Composure.
If you're struggling with the yips, you need to retrain the subconscious and central nervous system to trust free dexterity and override the involuntary tension. You won't "think it away". You must train it away.

More than 70 lucky men won a raffle to buy a pair of limited-edition Air Jordan golf shoes. The only catch: They had to drive a golf ball 200 yards first. That’s when the “yips” set in. on.wsj.com/40kHlCF

An article by CNN sports. If you know me, you know I’ll do anything it takes to win. I hate to lose and can’t be settled until I get redemption when I do.
The yips ate at my heart, because I couldn’t figure out how to fight it. Nobody could. One day I threw for 6 hours, until I couldn’t any more.
It strikes at the core of your identity, self worth and pride because it affects you at the simple actions- the short throw or putt. It’s embarrassing. It wears on you constantly. It haunts your thoughts when you’re trying to relax. People call it their demon.
It’s confusing, frustrating and outright devastating. It steals your joy. There’s never been a consistent solution since the name yips was coined in the 1920’s.
Graduating BUD/S relieved the stigma of mental weakness. But I still wanted to kill it. I had a score to settle. Now, with Matzek, Glover and a host of amateur players and new pro clients, we’re kicking this thing’s ass.
“He walked me through a process about how to attack it instead of being scared of it,” Glover said.
“It freed my brain, my mind and my stroke up … it’s actually become fun again to go practice, to go play, to actually putt instead of being fearful. It’s been a life-changer for me so far.”
“As an athlete, representing your country is the highest honor.”

My implosion in baseball due to the yips was one of the most painful things I’ve been through. But we find fulfillment in how we respond to our pain. A greater response creates greater meaning to it. We suffer well to grow and achieve more. Then, we can use the lessons learned to turn around and help others on a meaningful level. This creates fulfillment. And a fulfilling life is how winning is done…and it pays to be a winner. 🇺🇸
