Angel Reese should be suspended for falsely accusing people all the time to stay relevant

Sandy Brondello used a common Australian Term, and asked the refs is Angel was a protected species because she felt the refs weren’t calling fouls on her. People can debate if what she said was appropriate, but we all can see what’s being implicated by this Angel Tweet. I’m sure Sandy wont experience any hateful tweets or threats from this though. This tweet won’t elicit any hateful messages I’m sure.

A pretty standard misunderstanding about slang from another continent that was addressed & even apologized for, and the league adds unnecessary fuel to the fire. Every decision this league makes seems to be to drive potential fans away. Never seen anything like it

This feels like such an overreaction to the most obvious cultural misinterpretation. Sandy Brondello referred to Angel Reese as a "protected species”, which is widely used in Australian sport to describe a player/team that seemingly receives preferential treatment from referees. There’s never been any racial element to that phrase, Brondello showed grace and apologized anyway, and was still suspended. An unserious outcome and a wild precedent.
