@EOEboh I think it's a hype thing. Once something becomes too mainstream, indie Devs will have to hate it to make their choice the "cooler" one. It most certainly has nothing to do with performance, integrational ability, eco system or any other language feature for that matter.

My poor MacBookPro started randomly shutting down and running really, really, slowly. The CPU temperatures were exceeding 200 degrees at times. So I opened up the back. (take care, this is tricky, look for some good YT videos) and then I cleaned out the fans. They were utterly caked with crap. Now she runs cool and a cuke, and the speed and shutdown issues have disappeared.

@unclebobmartin IMHO all work with AI, the smaller the but the more accurate it will be. Try speckit,which is designed to help work in smaller tasks. BTW, I enjoy your tidbits with Claude code!

Whenever I see a misbehavior, I ask Claude what the VMS solution did. It tells me. Then I say: "Do that". And it does. So I guess Claude can translate C to Clojure in small increments.

@unclebobmartin I think you should really try @opencode. You have way more options using it over Claude code.

Perhaps I spoke too soon. I gave Claude what I thought was a very clear prompt; but it completely misunderstood it. Then lost it's mind due to a context compression, and then spent ten minutes looking for a missing parentheses. Wow....
