Young people, before you build wealth, you have to first build your comfort. Personal comfort is the fertilizer that helps you grow through clear thinking and peace of mind. You are buying stocks at the risk of going hungry. Why not eat first? Satisfy your moderate/reasonable cravings, reward yourself. This is how you find the strength to keep pushing. You are saving, yet the room that you take your rests in everyday is in poor condition. No proper bed. You refused to get an Air Conditioner. Your bedsheet has not been changed in years, your pillow is so worn out and dirty that it could wake the dead if placed under their head. Your underwears (boxers and bra) have not been changed for years. You don’t invest in smelling nice. Why can’t you take care of yourself first? You are saving when you can afford to rent apartment in a better, more peaceful and serene environment. Yet you remain in an environment filled with unbearable stench and with high security risk. Overtime, that stench becomes your natural ooze, and the insecurity would consume a chunk of that money you saved when they steal your generator or rob you. Your standards will drop without you realizing it. You would have grown so accustomed to that slum you’ve decided to root yourself in that the low standard of living and discomfort becomes normal to you. Eventually, you start to reflect that environment in your behavior and lifestyle; your behavior becomes unrefined and local. The stench becomes ‘clean air’ to you. You lose your sense of smell, that you can’t tell when your armpit is smelling anymore. You are saving, you’ve saved enough to buy a car to push around, yet you prefer to mount Okada and public transport. Depriving yourself of the barest minimum utility that could greatly improve your efficiency, time saving and quality of life, because you are saving. One day, you will fall on the okada or you’ll have a fight with a conductor and they’ll remove your teeth. You are saving, but you won’t provide better nutrition for your children even when you can afford it. You forget that proper feeding today prevents bigger health expenses tomorrow. What you avoid now, you may end up paying for later in treatments. Saving is important, but it is not wisdom to ignore immediate needs. There is no virtue in suffering when you have the means to live better. In all things, wisdom is key. Do not deprive yourself, and do not live beyond your capacity. Find balance.

@SodiqTade I think Tinubu's chance of winning is even higher without Obi on the ballot, as the entire southern votes would not be divided. Without the Buhari factor coming to play in 2027, Atiku is counting on getting the entire northern votes, and that would be crucial for his quest.

As far as Obi is yet to make his declaration to join NDC official, I still believe there is a room for reconciliation. Atiku should reach out to him to make him see reasons to stay in the coalition. This isn't the time to play big man politics. If Obi joins ADC, there is no pathway for Atiku or anyone in the coalition. Atiku shouldn't listen to those who are saying he has a chance without Obi against Tinubu. He can't win as long as Obi is on the ballot as a separate candidate. Atiku had 25% in 21 states in 2023. There is no way he is going to get 25% in any Southern state if Obi fails to run alongside him. Most of the southern guys in the coalition are not as popular as Obi Let's assume Tinubu rigs all the states in the South, the fact remains Obi will still clear the 5 states in the South East. Atiku needs the 5 states in the SE to solve his 25% puzzle and to get enough edge to drag it out with Tinubu. Only Obi has a guaranteed bulk votes in the East. Please reach out to him and try to see if there is a room for reconciliation. Don't assume @atiku!

FORCE LEADERSHIP ORDERS DISMISSAL,PROSECUTION OF OFFICERS INVOLVED IN EFFURUN SHOOTING The Nigeria Police Force hereby provides an update on the disciplinary actions taken following the fatal shooting incident of 26th April 2026 in Effurun, Delta State, which resulted in the death of Mr Mene Ogidi. Sequel to the earlier directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, all officers connected to the incident were immediately withdrawn from the Delta State Command and transferred to Force Headquarters, Abuja, where they were subjected to expedited disciplinary proceedings. The Force Disciplinary Committee (FDC), alongside other internal disciplinary processes, has concluded its review. Findings established unequivocally that the principal officer, ASP Nuhu Usman, acted in gross violation of Force Order 237 and other extant regulations governing the use of firearms. His actions were unlawful, unprofessional, and a clear betrayal of the oath to protect life and uphold the law. Consequently, the FDC has recommended the immediate dismissal of ASP Nuhu Usman and other officers found culpable. The Inspector-General of Police has approved the recommendations and forwarded same to the Police Service Commission for ratification in line with due process. Upon completion of the administrative procedures, the affected officers will be handed over to the appropriate judicial authorities for prosecution for their roles in the extrajudicial shooting. The Inspector-General of Police reiterates, in the strongest terms, that the Nigeria Police Force maintains a zero-tolerance stance on extra-judicial actions and abuse of power. No uniform confers the right to take life outside the provisions of the law. Any officer who violates this fundamental principle will face the full weight of disciplinary and legal consequences. The IGP extends his deepest and most solemn condolences to the family of the deceased, Mr Mene Ogidi. He acknowledges the pain and loss suffered and assures the family that this tragic incident will not be treated lightly. The Force is fully committed to ensuring that justice is not only served but seen to be served, in a manner that reinforces public confidence and institutional accountability. Members of the public are urged to remain calm and law-abiding, as the Nigeria Police Force remains steadfast in its commitment to discipline, professionalism, and the protection of the rights and dignity of all citizens while ensuring accountability at all levels. Roman Abramovich wasn't a football person when he took over, just like Boehly and Clearlake weren't involved in football. But what he did was smart.
