@PirateCryptos @Fran_Kraer @whooith Ok. Well then this conversation can't really go anywhere else. I don't know the study you're quoting but I've seen various other studies that do not back up that claim. But know that saying things that hurt people's feelings, even if true, are still hurtful.

Gender isn't a social construct any more than height or eye color is. It's rooted in biology, sex is binary XX/XY, determined at conception. Dysphoria is real suffering, and I get wanting relief. But the data (Dhejne 2011 long term Swedish study, plus follow ups) shows transition doesn't fix it, suicide rates stay 19x higher than controls, even in super accepting places away from truth-tellers. Telling people the truth isn't causing suicide. Untreated mental illness and social contagion is. Compassion means evidence based help, not enabling delusion. You are real, you are valued, but I do not accept that you can change gender, that's not an attack.

And the things people say about trans people do lead them to suicide. You can say "facts aren't attacks" all you want. But the words you say do have consequences

I don't think less of you as a person by any means, you have a real identify, you have real hobbies, you have real opinions, you're a real, valid human being that deserves to be here. I want you to realize that the type of messaging that you and others spew are a larger part of suicide rates than transition.
