📝 𝗩𝗧𝗨𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬 𝗔𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦! 📝 Many agencies are currently holding auditions and I've had multiple people approach asking for help. So here are some tips to give you a better idea of how to fill out your application and structure your video: 「᯽ 𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙤𝙣 𝙫𝙩𝙪𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙛𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚! ᯽」 —— Presume these are basic skills or prerequisites for everyone entering. If you show off your funny side, highlight your quick wit rather than just funny things that happened to you. Show you can be proactive with your jokes rather than reactive. If you are a klutz and say unintentionally weird things on stream though (like me), count them as proactive. 「᯽ 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙤𝙛𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡! ᯽」 —— If you’re great at singing, dancing, meme posts, drawing or anything else, show how successful you’ve been at turning those skills into something popular or profitable. If you have had anything go viral, highlight those too! 「᯽ 𝘽𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜! ᯽」 —— Even if you don’t have a lot of the skills you normally see amongst agency vtubers, show your enthusiasm to learn by committing to taking lessons. 「᯽ 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨! ᯽」 —— Focus on what relevant skills and experience you have outside of vtubing which will aid you behind the scenes. You will be expected to do things like manage your own timetable, hold meetings, make proposals and run projects. It will give the agency more confidence if you demonstrate you have the skills to back up your ambitions. 「᯽ 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙪𝙥 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡𝙨! ᯽」 —— Write down a list of realistic goals you want to reach by 3 months, 6 months and one year (ie. I want to release 1 cover song by debut and a second one within 6 months). Show you have a content plan and ambitions! 「᯽ 𝘽𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙝𝙮𝙥𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙣! ᯽」 —— Writing an application is really hard! It’s easy to overlook how significant your own achievements are, so write it like you would if you were filling it out for your best friend instead. You’d want your friend to sound as cool as possible, right? Do the same for yourself! 「᯽ 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧! ᯽」 —— If you don’t have a lot of confidence, don’t self-sabotage yourself by saying “I can do this BUT”. Don’t talk down your skills or explain you need specific circumstances for your skills to shine. Your goal is to get your foot in the door by showing your peak potential, then you can negotiate after that! 「᯽ 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮! ᯽」 —— Many agencies will have a section on why you want to join them. Understand what makes each agency special and what they lack which you can offer them. 「᯽ 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙗 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣! ᯽」 —— In your video, include something which grabs the viewer’s attention within the first 20 seconds. It doesn't necessarily have to be a skill. If you can edit, use that to your attention! Also make sure to directly address the person watching to make a connection with them. 「᯽ 𝙈𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩, 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩! ᯽」 —— If you're using a model, puppeteer it! Don’t just sit there and stare forward as you talk, move around and express yourself (but don’t go overboard to the point it’s distracting). Show you know how to bring out a model’s potential!
