Ten years after we first started York bar billiards league, our 2023 season kicks off this evening, with more teams than ever before! Tonight our newest venue, Castle Snooker Club, hosts a tie between Castle 'B' and the Golden Ball, while the Phoenix take on York Brewery at home.

The new year means a new York bar billiards season! We're now inviting entrants for our singles and doubles knockouts. No need to already be in a team, just email yorkbarbilliards@gmail.com by 14 Jan to sign up. Max commitment is 1 match per month, at mutually convenient times.

Slight adjustment to the deadline for entry: please email us (yorkbarbilliards@gmail.com) by 5pm on Thursday 12th January if you would like to sign up for this season's singles and/or doubles knockouts.

As we gear up for our next season (starting late Jan '23) @WalmgateAle are hoping to form a new team. If you're interested in playing for them just drop us a DM, email yorkbarbilliards@gmail.com, or leave your name and number at the Ale House bar by mid-January at the latest!

And there'll be a bar billiards table on-site on Wednesday and Thursday: come along and try your hand!

It went right to the wire in last night's long-delayed 2019/20 Singles Cup final, but Stu Weston of @Knavesmirepub finally triumphed 4-3 over Ian Clish in a thriller at @AckhorneThe. Now we're starting it all over again with the 2022 cup!

Tonight it's time for the long-delayed 2019/20 team cup final, between @goldenballyork and @Knavesmirepub, hosted by @WaggonYork. Come along from 8pm to see which name will be added to our fab trophy, designed by league player and local craftsman, Wilf Williams.
