We have a House full of MPs who want to be global movers and shakers, they want to matter far beyond the borders of their constituency. The old guard, too long in the tooth and close to the finish line to start kicking up a fuss now. Their seat awaits them in The lucrative House of Lords. The newer ones, not attractive enough for the movies, but enjoying media appearances, fees and feeling relevant gobble up all the rewards of MP-ing. The skill factor of the above is highly questionable to me. A House packed to talk about all things overseas, as they gift our taxes to dodgy third world countries, arms manufacturers and fund fake wars with very real casualties. Not one has the common sense or Integrity to shout out... Hang on a minute why are we crushing society to get to Net Zero, yet allowing China and India to increase the use of fossil fuels, which they need to manufacture goods we then buy from them! Then the big one. The assault on farming. The circle of life begins with the land we feed from, growing and rearing things to eat.
