Dear @EU_Commission, Last week I completed my final civic training in Paris to become an EU citizen. A young man called me “pédé,” meaning faggot, because I was sitting and having fun with two amazing, intelligent ladies I had bonded with during the program. I reported it to OFII, but nothing was done. He even threatened me again after class, and I have no way to make my voice heard. Homophobia still persists in Europe, where people are supposed to feel safe, yet we still don’t.
