It’s been about two and a half years since I started watching Its AXN’s livestreams. During that time, I’ve built many connections with people from overseas. Its AXN streams in English, and although I’m Japanese, I started participating in English as well. Recently, I’ve even found myself feeling a bit uncomfortable playing Pokémon GBL in Japanese. I talked it over with my husband. “If you really want to enjoy Regionals and Tournaments, maybe it would be better to go overseas. You have more friends there, and you might enjoy it more,” he said. So I decided to shift my main activities abroad. ⸻ However, sadly… I’ve been receiving a lot of criticism from Japanese people. Even though we’ve never met. Getting suddenly banned has become almost a daily occurrence. People say things like: “You’re AXN’s dog.” “You’re AXN’s mistress.” “AXN doesn’t care about you.” “He’s not going to come help you.” “Why are you even streaming? You’re so bad.” …Honestly, I find that very disrespectful. ⸻ The truth is, the reason I started streaming in the first place is because of Its AXN. On my 2-year subscription anniversary, I asked him for a message, and he said: “Why don’t you try livestreaming?” 👀 I was shocked—“Me!?” But he told me, “If you stream your GBL matches, you’ll realize how much you can learn on your own.” ⸻ My husband supported me with equipment and everything else, and I started streaming on Twitch. Setting up the banking was a bit difficult, but if you carefully read the English, it’s manageable. With translation tools available now, it’s actually much easier than I expected. And the requirements for Twitch Affiliate are much more accessible than YouTube 😊 Thanks to Its AXN promoting my stream, I reached Affiliate status in just a few days. Now I can cover costs like server fees, subscriptions, battle note supplies, and communication expenses through streaming income. ⸻ Even so, the criticism from Japan has been strong… But I keep thinking: “I don’t even know you. What have I done to you?” ⸻ My streams are mainly in English, and most of my viewers are from overseas. Still, about 10% of my viewers are Japanese, and that makes me really happy 😊 Sometimes my emotions get the better of me, and I end up venting in Japanese…🥹 ⸻ Please don’t be so harsh. If you truly believe you’re better, why not try streaming on Twitch yourself? 👀 You can earn money, connect with strong players overseas, and I think you might actually enjoy it. ⸻ When I watch Regionals, I get really excited when I see someone I know competing 🤩✨ If my mentor is playing, I’m even happier. And when their friends make it onto the featured match stream, it genuinely makes me happy from the bottom of my heart 😊 It's AXN—thanks for the great show!!
