April 25th has a main event and it’s Aljo vs Zalal Most people see this as a grappler vs grappler matchup which generally results in a striking heavy fight, but I think Sterling holds a pretty big grappling advantage here and can secure takedowns Zalal is quick, and his striking arsenal is decent, he loves lateral movement which makes him a tough target to hit, but in doing so he squares his hips up. Zalal hates pressure, we saw it specifically in the third round against Kattar where he basically refused to engage, Aljo shouldn’t struggle to apply pressure in this fight, his striking is good enough to hold his own but those moments where Zalal backs up are where he has to go and start working those fence takedowns Think of the positions Sterling was able to get Movsar in early, will Zalal be as strong in defending those positions? Even in round two of that fight, Sterling was getting himself into 50/50 scrambles with Movsar where I think Zalal would end up on bottom Zalal’s striking shouldn’t be slept on, he has a nice left body kick and knees up the middle can be nasty but he’s not impossible to takedown, in offensive grappling positions he’s fantastic at finding subs, but I think Sterling could scramble mog him. Sterling will find a sub or take a dominant decision
