Katrina and Ian met at a drama group in 1992 when she was 21 and he was 34. At the start of 2022, when Ian was 58, Katrina noticed he was becoming withdrawn and out of sorts. He was initially diagnosed with depression, but in March 2023 was diagnosed with Parkinson's, and a young onset #dementia diagnosis followed in 2024.
