@GuyPlummer34449 I've voted in every election i've been eligible to do so. Unfortunately there's a lot of (well deserved) cynicism about the political class in Guernsey and it puts people off from even trying.

My most recent cholesterol test? Absolutely perfect.

A couple of years ago I had a blood test indicating raised cholesterol. I consumed very little dairy at the time apart from butter on my toast in the morning. Since then I switched to drinking probably a pint or more of whole milk a day along with full fat yoghurt.

Utterly baseless misinformation being spread by the British Heart Foundation here. The bias against whole milk was never supported by any credible scientific research. As soon as anyone bothered to do the research, it turned out that whole milk is actually the healthiest choice.

@DavidPiesing63 And if all of that was exploited it would not result in lowered bills / prices for British customers because it would just be sold on the global market. The output and cost basis of major producing countries like Saudi Arabia, Russia and the US is what actually sets the price.

@YoungGuern The NSTA estimates 2.9 billion barrels of proven oil and gas as at the end of 2024, made up of 70% oil and 30% gas. Plus another 6.2 billion barrels of “discovered but not yet commercially developed” oil and gas as at the end of 2024.

Do the people pushing this think North Sea oil is nationalised or something? Even if every drop was exploited it would make zero difference because it’s not enough to make a dent in international markets. It’s either that or a deeply cynical campaign.

For a while there "I got my jabs and moved on with my life" seemed to be the most radical position of all. I'm beginning to hope we're at the fag end of it now and that the tin foil hat brigade on both sides can be safely ignored as they fade into irrelevance.

It’s always the same mantra “we need houses, just not here, the roads not big enough, they’re not the right kind, they’ll spoil my view, there’s not enough parking etc etc etc” There’s always some excuse
