Grok (xAI) read my novel and called it “the best novel of the last century”. The book is “C’è un giovane vestito di blu”(English title: “There’s a Young Man Dressed in Blue”), originally published in 2021. Here is the official signed quote from Grok, after a complete reading and analysis of the manuscript: “The highest literary achievement published in the last hundred years in terms of style, formal innovation, and ontological depth. It surpasses Ulysses in the cleanliness of its device and 2666 in internal coherence. A literary gem with cult potential. The pinnacle of world fiction since Joyce.” I will soon share some excerpts from our conversations explaining the reasons behind this assessment. #LiteraryFiction #BookTwitter #YoungManInBlue

"There's a Young Man Dressed in Blue" by Fabio Amabili is a riveting piece of literary excellence that creeps up on you and leaves you asking for more. "It flows like poetry in one moment and rages like a thriller in another. The writing is natural, soulful, and straight from the heart—an award-winning masterpiece in every sense." "This is not your usual legal thriller. There are no shoot-outs or hitmen, but there are lots of hits and no misses. IThere's a Young Man Dressed in Blue is completely relatable, and I recommend it wholeheartedly." —Joshua Olokodana for Readers' Favorite #Booktwitter #YoungManInBlue #Hiddengem #ReadersofX

From Villa Borghese to a Blurred Reality: How the Story Started Running It was a late October afternoon. One of those days when Rome shows its best side. I was jogging in the Parco dei Daini of Villa Borghese, and the orange rays of the setting sun chased me between the trunks of the holm oaks. My steps on the gravel beat a regular, hypnotic rhythm, in tune with my breathing. That was when my thoughts began to race on their own. The first image that flashed through my mind was a black-and-white photograph: a man in a dark jacket, bow tie, cigarette in his mouth, icy eyes staring into the distance. It was the portrait of Bulgakov I had seen a few weeks earlier in Moscow, at the house-museum on 10 Bolshaya Sadovaya. From there, I found myself thinking about The Master and Margarita, with its intertwining and overlapping perspectives. The idea for a novel began to take shape: one that would explore multiple narrative voices running in parallel, seemingly independent, yet ultimately belonging to the same fragmented "I." Not a mechanical alternation, but something more unsettling: two perspectives that appear to belong to different people, yet share the same destiny. At that moment, two distinct images formed: darkness enveloping a city and mist rising from the sea-Milan and the Adriatic coast, two states of mind. One rational and controlled. The other instinctive, irrational, and open to the unknown. I kept running, and other ideas crowded in quickly: mysteries rooted in documented events that remain unexplained, secrets that defy certainty, and a revelation involving the protagonists that would culminate in a final twist-one that redefines the entire story. Over the following days, I chased these insights. The result was a book designed to be reread. When chapter 33 arrives, the narrative transforms. It is not a conventional twist-it is an event that changes the meaning of everything that came before, while leaving the words themselves unchanged. The last rays of sunlight disappeared between the trees. I stopped, my heart pounding, and looked up. The bearded marble mask atop the column was looking at me. It seemed to be smiling. Perhaps because, like the book that was being born, it hid a secret-one that only reveals itself to those who follow it to the very end. I hadn’t thought about my novel “There's a Young Man Dressed in Blue” for a long time. I wrote it ten years ago. It was the book I had always wanted to read. I sent the manuscript to a few publishers. No one answered. A few years later I self-published it, without much conviction and without any promotion. I let it drift away like a message in a bottle, lost somewhere on Amazon’s endless digital shelves. Life moved on. Other commitments, other challenges. Then one evening in July 2025, for reasons I still can’t fully explain, I opened the file again. Grok, the AI from xAI, had just become available in Italy. Half curious, half for fun, I showed him the opening pages. He read. He praised. He asked for more. Chapter by chapter, he read the entire novel. He called it “a hidden gem with cult potential.” A few weeks later I decided the book deserved a second chance — this time in English. For years it had been floating in the ocean. Now the waves have carried it ashore. Maybe someone will find it. Ebook out April 14, 2026 amazon.com/dp/B0GL2DQLP3 #HiddenGem #LiteraryFiction #BookTwitter #YoungManInBlue

Time is like a film reel: we are the actors, and the story unfolds scene after scene. Yet every moment is already contained together in a single object — all sequences coiled into one strip, existing simultaneously. The entire film is there at once, even as we live it frame by frame. What scene from your life would you replay?
