By the way, a lot of people underestimate the importance of JIT, and more generally, active liquidity in DEXes. Why? The idea of active LPing is to catch uninformed swaps while avoiding getting arbitraged. But arbitrage volumes are significant. This implies that when you look at a successful active LP strategy, it will appear to be responsible for relatively modest volumes. Yet those are the most profitable swaps for LPs! Take, for instance, the LP from my earlier thread. This LP is responsible for ~6.4% of swap volume during the sample period. Yet if the profit of this LP went to other LPs, their loss would go down by ~12% (from ~$462K to $408K). In this case, volumes understate the impact on profits roughly by one half. And this bias can be bigger for more successful strategies. Don't underestimate active LPing based solely on the observed volumes.
