How was it 5 years ago that we were mid covid and I was travelling around what seemed like a million car parks in Bury St Edmunds waiting for our wee one to be born as I wasn’t allowed in to the hospital until the last bit. Crazy how time goes by! 5 years old!

@j_amesmarriott I’ve just had a discussion with my 15 yo about distractions from revising. He said it’s alright for you as you had no phones (1990) to distract you from revising. I replied no, I had books. I can still lose myself in a book, but am I wrong to think this is different to a phone?

Agree. Some of the most depressing statistics trace the collapse of reading among ambitious students. The most academic kids used to read much more than their peers. Now there isn't really a difference. Everyone is just scrolling.
