I can. They put all their eggs in the basket of red sec, which was a huge failure. They didn’t put enough emphasis in their map design, and as a result all their maps suck. This is frustrated the player based along with an overly long grind and micro transactions. It was the game that had potential, but that potential was wasted because they couldn’t follow through in the first season.

Wasn't Battlefield 6 one of the most successful Battlefield launches ever? Can't really wrap my head around this.

20 million COD players show up and *PLAY* COD every year, no matter what. MWII, MWIII, BO6, likely BO7 - 20 million+ fans playing in March. BF couldn't get players to show up in November. Every post "whine whine whine" while they play other games. Despite what I think of the current state of COD, I'll give it to their fans, they are loyal. BF fans have exposed themselves to be the ultimate vibe players. If it isn't perfect, they're not touching it. And perfection left the genre 15 years ago. Battlefield 6 sales were propped up by new players interested in trying the first BF game with any hype in a generation, during a year where COD went in a bad direction for many players. The rug-pull was BF6 delivered a Battlefield game in 2026 when the entire combined arms genre amounts to Delta Force's army of Chinese "players". The best opportunity to spark a love for Battlefield in a new generation of players who've never played a BF game and the community can't get over itself for 2.3 seconds, splitting time between trashing the game, and telling new players to get out. EA's gonna shelve the franchise right next to Medal of Honor after this.
