The only "affirmation" would be to teach children, typically of regressive parents, that it's fine to be nonconforming.

Gender and sexuality are aspects of the whole person. An affirming model of care accepts diversity in gender and sexuality, sees LGBTQ lives as equal in dignity, and rejects the pathologising frameworks that undergird conversion practices.

The “desistance” studies are on extremely gender nonconforming kids with related distress. The diagnosis they use was formulated to identify kids for conversion therapy. There is not data on how many of these kids actually wanted to transition

Israel’s government is committing suicide by failing to address many of the ridiculous allegations thrown at it.
I have spent the better part of the last three years doing my best to combat many of the lies and false narratives about Israel and its government, but it really isn’t any American’s obligation to do this.
I do it because I think it’s the morally right thing to do, especially in the face of the hatred much of the Jewish community is experiencing, but it is mentally draining and physically exhausting.
Israel isn’t perfect, and no country should be expected to be, but they are horrendous at PR. Truly awful.
If the government cannot do its part, outsiders are eventually going to grow tired of doing their job for them, especially when it was never the outsiders’ responsibility in the first place.
