Mr. Andrey Pogrebnyak, Deputy Executive Coordinator (Management), United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Headquarters, Bonn, along with his team, called on Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, today. The delegation included Ms. Elise Bouvet, Chief, Volunteer Solutions Section, UNV Headquarters, Bonn; Md. Aktar Uddin, Regional Portfolio Specialist for UNV Asia & the Pacific, Bangkok; and Mr. Sushil Chaudhary, Country Coordinator, UNV India. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the areas of youth empowerment and volunteerism in India, including advancing inclusive youth policies, promoting gender equality, supporting flagship development programmes, and enhancing the role of young volunteers in sustainable development initiatives.

The two day United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Asian Partner Roundtable at the UN Campus, Bonn, Germany commenced on 12.05.2026. Shri Nitesh Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, along with Shri Salil Kumar, Director, MY Bharat, participated in the first day of the Roundtable. The Roundtable brought together partner nations for strategic dialogue, exchange of partnership results and discussions on the UNV Strategic Framework 2026–2029 - fostering meaningful networking and bilateral engagements while reaffirming India's strong commitment to global volunteerism, youth engagement, and sustainable development. #IVY2026
