As an ENGENE, I need to say this clearly — the Weverse DM feature doesn’t sit right with me. The whole system reminds me of how sasaengs used to invade idols’ privacy by buying their contact info just to message them on KakaoTalk. The difference now? It’s been turned into a paid feature. People can directly pay through the company to send messages, and because everything stays private with no screenshots allowed, there’s zero transparency. That lack of accountability is worrying. It opens the door to misuse, and we wouldn’t even know. This isn’t about access — it’s about boundaries and respect. Idols deserve real protection, not systems that can be exploited.
